Dr. Medina is the best!
He just moved and I had to track him down since knowing he opened his own practice. But I found him again! 🙂
I honestly won't let anyone else treat me just because of the amount of trust I have in Dr. Medina now that he has been my "go to" sports medicine doctor. He is a few in a pod with his strong work ethic and his bedside manner with his patients. He is never in a rush, always patient, very honest and straightforward which is a rare quality nowadays.
I got in car accident a couple of years ago and ever since then I had very bad knee pain on my left knee every time I made a movement (bent my knees). I procastinated getting treatment because I don't like doctors or going to therapy - this is obviously a bad choice. A friend of mine recommended me Dr Medina in the old clinic were he was working before (which to my surprise looked very young!) Immediately I felt skeptical of his experience but I was already there; no turning back now! I was very nervous during my 1st session too, so I might have been looking unconsciously for an excuse Lol. However, Dr. Medina was very professional and caring. He explained to me the whole process as he was treating me. He was very reassuring and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. He listened to my concerns and doubts and didn't rush at all. I was sold by how nice he treated me, and so I kept coming to my sessions. It has been some time now since I started my treatment sessions and I honestly feel much better. My knee doesn't hurt anymore and the "crunchy" sound it made -when I bent it- is almost gone. If you are scared of doctors (like I embarrassingly am) and are looking for a highly skilled, professional chiropractor who cares about his patients you will not go wrong with Dr. Medina. He truly is a master with his hands. He has magic hands and is highly skilled in his field. I cannot recommended him enough.
Obviously I am better now since that accident but I like to play soccer and once on a while I need a quick fix at my age and Dr. Medina is the best I know for that! I obviously have been very pleased with him that I have tracked him down all the way to his way practice 😉
Thanks Dr. Medina for everything.
Dr. Medina has been a tremendous help with lower back, neck and wrist pain sustained from a car accident in April of 2018. He was very easy to work with and helped fixed all of my symptoms within weeks of the accident.
What sets Dr. Medina apart is his ability and passion to look at all areas of health and wellness to help solve bodily issues to get someone like myself back into their daily activity. Hands down he performed the best chiropractic work on me I have ever received and I recommend him to anyone looking to improve their overall health and wellness.
Ernesto Medina is the real deal. Anyone looking to improve their overall health, get a deeper understanding of their physiology, or wants to optimize their training performance, needs to work with him. What I enjoyed most about working with Ernesto was his ability to break down information and provide simple answers that I would not have otherwise received from my regular health care professional. I found that when you are generally healthy, you are told that things are "normal," because you are not falling into the ranges of unhealthy or sick people. But what if you just want to be the best version of your healthy self? Through working with him, I learned that my quality of life was sub-optimal and that taking a deeper look into my physiology improved my quality of life dramatically. I started sleeping better, I had energy throughout the day, my skin looked better than ever, I lost body fat, continued to gain strength and muscle, and my performance in the gym skyrocketed. The amount of change that occurred is mind-boggling. He helped to reclassify normal and got me to feeling better than I ever have!
About one and a half years ago, I went to see Dr Medina about relieving back pain in my upper rear shoulder (scapula). He performed active release on the area and did some adjustments to fix a rib that was slightly out of place. Voila, within three appts the problem was gone. I haven't had a recurrence, since. This was after suffering from that problem for about seven years. It was to a point that I couldn't lean on that shoulder, sleep on it, or sit for short periods of time.
More recently, I underwent surgery for my ankle. After months of PT, I was still not able to function on my ankle. My knee started locking up, so I went to have Dr Medina do active release on it and an adjustment. Immediately, I was able to do deep knee bends on it. Within a few appts, it was no longer locking up. At the same time, he took a look at my ankle. Up to that point, I was completely unable to run or load that ankle. After a few (five) appts with adjustments, sensory stimulation, and strengthening exercises, I'm actually running and doing moderately heavy squats. I ran for ten minutes last night. Before, I couldn't run ten seconds. Feel like giving up? Don't. Just call Ernesto.
I saw Dr. Medina for my vertigo, and he was able to resolve the issue on the first visit. Turns out I had crystals in my ear that dislodged and entered into an area of my ear which causes dizziness, nausea, and caused me to be out of commission for many days.
Dr. Medina used the Epley maneuver to relocate the ear crystal(s), and within a day I was back on my feet.
His integrative approach to health, nutrition, neurology, and chiropractic makes this doctor really stand out. He is all about results, and he definitely delivers them.
My insurance through my employer gives me 40 visits per year for Chiro (Blue Shield), and I will continue to see Dr. Medina for many health needs.
I have been seeing Dr Medina when he was still practicing up in Fremont. I am a very active guy, gets injury quite often, and he always fixes me up. Fremont is very far for me. Now that he has moved to Cupertino, it's much easier to go see him. I had another arm injury recently, but really needed it to recover in a week for a special workshop. I sent him a message at night, and he responded right away and was able to see me the next day. Again, he fixed me up, gave me all the tips I needed to get good enough for my next practice in a week.
His new office is very conveniently located, close to Santana Row. You can even go for a drink before or after your visit.
Medina is extremely knowledgeable, especially in sports injury, as he is himself a highly skilled martial artist and dancer. He is also very patient, easy going, and always respond very quickly to any inquiry, even when he's traveling. He's a life-saver!
Dr. Medina has a completely different approach to chiropractics than I've ever experienced. Whereas at other offices I've often felt that the doc spent a minimal amount of time with me--Dr. Medina takes a wholistic approach to health. He always tells me about the latest literature and different ways to improve my health.
I am a dentist so my work takes a major toll on my body. Dr. Medina showed me different exercises and massages that I could incorporate into my day to make me feel better.
I would strongly recommend Ernesto Medina to anyone looking to make a plan to seriously improve their overall health.
I am a well educated and experienced fitness trainer. Because of that I'm very mechanically aware and I usually am able to take care of any tweaks, pulls, strains and other injuries that come with the high wear-and-tear lifestyle of a fitness trainer. However, in addition to my job, I'm 6'8", 250 lbs., lift heavy at the gym and a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Wrestling. So the wear-and-tear on my body is EXTREMELY high. My lifestyle caught up with me eventually when I injured my right pectoralis (chest muscle) where it meets the front of my right shoulder. For the life of me I couldn't make it better. No matter how much I stayed off of it and iced it. I had massages done, K tape, Icy Hot/BioFreeze and SMR. Still it persisted. In addition to that, it was affecting my work. I went to see Dr. Medina and he had it figured out in about 2 sessions, and completely fixed in about 2 sessions after that. Since then, I've had small injuries here and there and the Doc has slashed my healing in time in half. I consider him an integral part of my maintenance process.
The Doctor himself is a consummate professional, always on time for our appointments, a true "student of the game" and as far as I'm concerned, a master of his craft. I'm very in tune with the rates charged by health and fitness professionals in relation to services received, and with Dr. Medina you get far more than what you pay for. I couldn't recommend him more.
I am blown away by Dr. Ernesto's depth of knowledge on integrative and functional medicine. He has the education and expertise to help many difficult and complex issues such as concussion syndrome, Alzheimer's, menier's and more. He is also a really nice person. I highly recommend him.
