CONDITIONS WE CAN HELP SUPPORT
I've had a strain in my right rotator cuff for a year and a half before I started working with Dr. Medina. It came to a point where I stayed away from any shoulder workouts. My rehab started around the last week of March 2013, within a month I am back to full mobility in my shoulder and I feel great throughout my whole body. I recommend Dr. Ernesto Medina if you are seeking a Chiropractic doctor.
I have been seeing Dr Medina when he was still practicing up in Fremont. I am a very active guy, gets injury quite often, and he always fixes me up. Fremont is very far for me. Now that he has moved to Cupertino, it's much easier to go see him. I had another arm injury recently, but really needed it to recover in a week for a special workshop. I sent him a message at night, and he responded right away and was able to see me the next day. Again, he fixed me up, gave me all the tips I needed to get good enough for my next practice in a week.
His new office is very conveniently located, close to Santana Row. You can even go for a drink before or after your visit.
Medina is extremely knowledgeable, especially in sports injury, as he is himself a highly skilled martial artist and dancer. He is also very patient, easy going, and always respond very quickly to any inquiry, even when he's traveling. He's a life-saver!
I got rear ended and was told I needed surgery for my back by a Kaiser doctor immediately after seeing my x-rays. They didn't even try to find alternative route, just immediately said I needed a $12,000+ back surgery!
So instead I searched for ALTERNATIVE treatments.
Thankfully I found Doctor Medina. Dr Medina is known for his natural and alternative approach to traditional old fashioned "medicine" that just cuts you open when you don't need it...all for profits! He believes the body can heal and repair itself with the proper adjustments, vitamins and targeted back sessions to decompress and guess what? He was right! I feel better than I did before.
If someone says you need surgery don't trust them immediately, I urge you to get a second opinion or search for alternatives first before allowing surgeons to cut you open just to charge your insurance thousands of dollars and leave you feeling worse! It happened to a family member and that's why I was so weary of the news when I was told I needed surgery. I am not so blindly trusting of surgery doctors. Surgery is not the right approach for everyone! It can leave you with a domino effect of lifetime health issues further along.
In my case THIS was the right approach - Dr. Media's Holistic approach mixed with medical knowledge to create a perfect plan just for ME.
He created a whole personalized treatment plan after seeing my x-rays, going through ALL my medical history and reviewing my tests.
I also changed my diet along the way thanks to his influence because I felt so great while under his targeted vitamin plan for my healing. What a difference he has made in my overall health! My whole body health! Everything in my body seems so synchronized and in perfect harmony, something that I didn't feel even before I had the accident when I was supposedly "healthy". Dr. Medina digs deep into finding the right treatment mix for YOU. I feel great!
I enjoy every session I have with him for decompression. He has very soft hands and is not rough like other doctors. He works along with your pain level and makes me feel very relaxed. He is a very professional and knowledgeable chiropractor. I can tell he loves his job since he's always in a good mood and has such a positive aura to him-unlike the other doctors who just rush you and seem to want to finish as soon as possible.
I also love that he has a small practice, which makes him readily available to his patients, unlike the huge hospital with so many heads ad so much bureaucracy that it is very difficult to reach your doctor on the phone. Dr. Medina actually answers my phone calls and emails. I get to speak to him if I call him. He makes himself very available and that feels very reassuring and stress free! It's a level of one on one with my doctor I hadn't gotten before. I wish all practices and doctors were like this.
Yelp only let's me place 5 stars for him but here's a symbolic +1 extra point=6
I saw Dr. Medina for my vertigo, and he was able to resolve the issue on the first visit. Turns out I had crystals in my ear that dislodged and entered into an area of my ear which causes dizziness, nausea, and caused me to be out of commission for many days.
Dr. Medina used the Epley maneuver to relocate the ear crystal(s), and within a day I was back on my feet.
His integrative approach to health, nutrition, neurology, and chiropractic makes this doctor really stand out. He is all about results, and he definitely delivers them.
My insurance through my employer gives me 40 visits per year for Chiro (Blue Shield), and I will continue to see Dr. Medina for many health needs.
Dr. Medina has a completely different approach to chiropractics than I've ever experienced. Whereas at other offices I've often felt that the doc spent a minimal amount of time with me--Dr. Medina takes a wholistic approach to health. He always tells me about the latest literature and different ways to improve my health.
I am a dentist so my work takes a major toll on my body. Dr. Medina showed me different exercises and massages that I could incorporate into my day to make me feel better.
I would strongly recommend Ernesto Medina to anyone looking to make a plan to seriously improve their overall health.
I've struggled with hormone issues for years. Finally, I went to Dr. Medina and I'm so happy I did. I got a month long female hormone panel done and based on those results Dr. Medina was able to confidently tell me the root cause for why I was still having adult acne issues and unbearable mensural cramps. After only 3 month on the supplement protocol he recommended, my acne was gone, yes gone! I can't tell you how much of a confidence booster that is unless you've lived with acne since your teens. As for my cramps, I've been able to get off the prescription pain killer I was on in order to keep the pain in check and at a level where I wasn't having to throw up. Now I have only a few hours of mild cramps and the rest of my period is pretty easy going. Game changer for me.
I highly recommend Dr. Medina if you are having any hormone issues or feel others haven't been able to help.
If something is hurting Dr Medina will fix you up!! He Definitely knows what he is doing. I came in to his office with neck pain cause my whole left arm to go numb. Not like other chiropractors, Dr Medina took time to explain everything in details before treatment. I was stunned after only one treatment I had more movement in my neck. I already have my next session booked.
I am a well educated and experienced fitness trainer. Because of that I'm very mechanically aware and I usually am able to take care of any tweaks, pulls, strains and other injuries that come with the high wear-and-tear lifestyle of a fitness trainer. However, in addition to my job, I'm 6'8", 250 lbs., lift heavy at the gym and a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Wrestling. So the wear-and-tear on my body is EXTREMELY high. My lifestyle caught up with me eventually when I injured my right pectoralis (chest muscle) where it meets the front of my right shoulder. For the life of me I couldn't make it better. No matter how much I stayed off of it and iced it. I had massages done, K tape, Icy Hot/BioFreeze and SMR. Still it persisted. In addition to that, it was affecting my work. I went to see Dr. Medina and he had it figured out in about 2 sessions, and completely fixed in about 2 sessions after that. Since then, I've had small injuries here and there and the Doc has slashed my healing in time in half. I consider him an integral part of my maintenance process.
The Doctor himself is a consummate professional, always on time for our appointments, a true "student of the game" and as far as I'm concerned, a master of his craft. I'm very in tune with the rates charged by health and fitness professionals in relation to services received, and with Dr. Medina you get far more than what you pay for. I couldn't recommend him more.
About one and a half years ago, I went to see Dr Medina about relieving back pain in my upper rear shoulder (scapula). He performed active release on the area and did some adjustments to fix a rib that was slightly out of place. Voila, within three appts the problem was gone. I haven't had a recurrence, since. This was after suffering from that problem for about seven years. It was to a point that I couldn't lean on that shoulder, sleep on it, or sit for short periods of time.
More recently, I underwent surgery for my ankle. After months of PT, I was still not able to function on my ankle. My knee started locking up, so I went to have Dr Medina do active release on it and an adjustment. Immediately, I was able to do deep knee bends on it. Within a few appts, it was no longer locking up. At the same time, he took a look at my ankle. Up to that point, I was completely unable to run or load that ankle. After a few (five) appts with adjustments, sensory stimulation, and strengthening exercises, I'm actually running and doing moderately heavy squats. I ran for ten minutes last night. Before, I couldn't run ten seconds. Feel like giving up? Don't. Just call Ernesto.
